Black
Tetra
Tetras are probably one of the
most common group of tropical fish available to the aquarium
hobbyist. They are generally very easy to maintain, although
more difficult to breed than other forms of commonly available
aquarium fish.
There are many different species of tetras. Tetras also comprise
minnows from various genus including: Aphyochrax, Gymnocorymbus,
Hemigrammus, Hypherssobrycon, Nematobrycon, Paracheirdon and
Phenacogrammus. We have listed a few of the more commonly
available species. Tetras generally do best in schools of 6 or
more fish.
