Oscar Fish
Oscars are definitely a fish for
the real enthusiast/specialist. If the fish was to be kept in a
community tank it would cause serious problems. The fish is best
kept in pairs, a male and female pair will be together for life.
The fish is a great lover of food and requires lots of live food
and lean diced raw meat. Breading of this fish in captivity is
difficult, but should you manage it the eggs need to be
transferred to a separate tank. Oscars come in many colours, and
are an attractive fish.
